Inner experience is essential to integrative spirituality

Humans tend to experience their spirituality as an external experience, through the physical senses and the world, listening to others, seeking rituals and ephemeral validations that only touch the consciousness of Spirit. But when external triggers become necessary, the illusion of the individual self is reinforced.
The key to a lasting spiritual life lies in the inner experience: connecting to the deepest essence, to that which transcends form, human desires, to that which is unlimited and eternal. True spirituality can only be experienced in this way, because even external triggers are perceived from within. The external is only a reflection.
Staying aware of the higher intelligence, always present, allows for a permanent conscious connection, beyond external conditions. This intelligence of unity is naturally put at the service of the greater good, implying a responsibility where the human self serves others. By embodying Spirit, we automatically become servants of humanity. Transcending the ego, which protects the illusion of the individual self, allows us to perceive the unity behind duality, where the sense of individuality is sublimated by the sense of unity.
